About Us

The choir started out as the St. Richard's Hospice Choir. It was composed largely of staff and volunteers from the hospice at the suggestion of the then chief executive, and performed at various hospice events and locations.

 

Following a Change of hospice management (and choirmasters!) and a tightening up of the rules of association, it was generally felt that the choir's future would better be served as a fully independent group outside the hospice environment. To that end, the Phoenix Singers arose from the ashes of the former hospice choir and we now perform our music for all kinds of groups and events in and around Worcester.

 

If you would like us to sing at your event please get in touch; or come to one of our performances - keep a lookout for the dates! We do not usually make a charge but any donations received go to local charities and good causes.
